The Armada M300 works both in SIR and FIR modes. FIR with its
controller is still buggy so I'd recommend you to go with SIR
for now.
On boot (eg. in rc.serial) set the irq for /dev/ttyS2:
/bin/setserial /dev/ttyS2 irq 3
run
irattach /dev/ttyS2 -s 1
