Hi
I spent a long time trying to get my Palm Vx to sync with my Rev. A iMac
over IrDA without success. Now I'm kind of desperate.
Here's what I've done so far:
imac:~/test# lsmod
Module Size Used by Not tainted
macserial 39316 1
ircomm-tty 37384 0
ircomm 17808 0 [ircomm-tty]
irtty 9536 2
irda 177332 1 [ircomm-tty ircomm irtty]
imac:~/test# ps ax | grep ira
615 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/irattach /dev/ttyS1 -s
I am running kernel 2.4.18-ben0, Debian woody and irda-common /
irda-tools 0.9.14-16
I tried different speeds, different FlowControl settings on the Palm and
the modules in different orders; macserial before irda stuff and irda
stuff before macserial. With the modules setup shown above, I had a
partial success with pilot-xfer.
imac:~/test# pilot-xfer -p /dev/ircomm0 -b pilot
Port: /dev/ircomm0
Please press the HotSync button now...

Perhaps I need to mention that syncin' on MacOS 8.6 with PalmDesktop
2.6.3 works flawlessly.
Maybe some of you IrDA-Gurus have an idea what I could try more?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards ...and sorry for my ugly English...
