---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 28 Oct 1999 12:59:21 -0400 (EDT) From: root <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: PalmIII and Toshiba 205CDS james, hello again, for some reason i have broken the irda and can no longer talk to my PalmIII via irda.....i have been seeing on the list many letters refering to new versions of irda and patches, do i need to change anything? i am still running the 2.2.7 kernal. i have lost some of the email we exchanged initially back in august, seems like the Toshiba needed to use /dev/irnine (irnine does appear in /proc/devices) and the order i loaded the modules was: insmod irda insmod ircomm insmod ircomm_tty then irmanager -d 1 -s 1 once i do this a beep tells me something loaded, (same beep i hear when pcmcia cards are loaded), however when i attempt to sync Pilot, inspection of /proc/net/irda/discovery and /proc/net/irda/irda_device show no info as if it does not detect the palm. any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? tia, don
