FYI: I've just installed a FIR board from SMC in my machine'm working on
this issue right now. The problem is that irport needs to be used in a
different way now that struct irda_device is gone. It's really not that
easy since things have to be changed a bit, but I have a plan, so it will
hopefully be fixed in a few days. If we can get the SMC chip to actually
work is another story ;-)
