..what's the status on that SMC btw? I'm back from Germany and a bit more
available for coding and testing again.
Btw: I got my 8810 back, now with a new software revision. (Dunno how to
check which, though. Anyone?)
I'm running 2.2.13irda4.
I get mixed results when I try to IrCOMM against the newer rev. software in my
phone; at first I had some problems, but now when I wanted to reproduce to get
exact debug messages and the oops(es) all of it (of course) works like a
charm.
What I did to get errors and malfunction was:
I set up everything like before, load modules, start irmanager and so on.
Then I start minicom, wait a sec. or three and THEN type AT and get OK.
I exit minicom and start pppd within one (1) second or maybe less, then chat
works as well, along with surfing over the PPP link.
If I start pppd without first having ran minicom, I get the error message
ir<dunremember-and-can't-reproduce>(), busy with a previous query
repeatedly, and no go IrCOMM.
Also, if I kill off pppd or kill/suspend minicom while it is trying to close
the port after I've exited the program when having typed a couple of chars
quickly before the port was completely opened, I got an oops. I've gotten
oops 0 and 2 afairemember.
Of course, <dunremember-and-can't-reproduce> is what's interesting, all I can
remember is that it contained 'state'.. Sorry.
