Well, thanks to the Linux-IrDA page I found out that my Toshiba Satellite
Pro 440CDX has a Sharp UIRCC. It also says that FIR mode currently does
not work, so I could use IrTTY instead. Perhaps this is the reason why
the UIRCC driver has been removed? Or have I missed something very
significant on the mailing list?
The Laptop-BIOS doesn't offer any setup. Booting Linux doesn't show
anything but ttyS0, which is the "real" serial port. Win98-Config gives me
some information, e.g. IRQ 10, which in Linux is used by the PCMCIA
stuff. So I haven't got _anything_ working yet. Perhaps somebody on the
list has an idea, esp. the person who submitted the information to the
homepage?

I am interested in getting something working here. So I'd say "2", if the
other stuff continues not to work and the PCMCIA-card is available here in
Germany.
Bye, Rob
