irport-SMC is fixed in the pre-irda14. You must compile with Ultra in order
to prevent missing symbols (Dag, missing #ifdefs ?).
At FIR, it looks like the smc-driver is unable to transmit frames bigger than
1500 bytes using the DMA. Peter, if you want a start point, you can have a
look at the data sheet from www.smsc.com, and play with the dma_write (expect
some lockups..).
There are also a couple of typos in smc-ircc.c, but fixing them does not fix
the driver at FIR speed :(
