Should be ready quite soon. I'm still struggling a bit with getting the
correct init for the different chips. The Thinkpad however doesn't need any
init since this is probably already carried out by the BIOS. So I trying to
find a way not to init it ;-) Want to have a driver which detects and inits
(if required) all types of NSC chips without having the user telling the
driver which chip it's supposed to find. Well the Thinkpad doesn't detect
the correct dongle, so we must supply this as a module parameter :-(

That's a great shame. The tekram products are really good! Their docking
station is really cool! I guess one of the problems is that M$ have dumped
IrLAN in Win98 and Win2K in favour of PPP over IrCOMM, and IrNET which is
PPP over IrTTP (without CRC and HDLC).

The JetEye Net should be OK, I have their docking station, and it works
very well (although it's an early prototype). Haven't had time to fix the
mouse/keyboard protocol for this one yet.

You might be able to find some cheap HP NetBeam'ers around. Somebody posted
a link to the list some time ago about a company which sold them at a very
cheap price (I have 3 of them myself ;-)

If you want speeds above 310 Kbytes/s then you should consider buying
something from Clarinet. Their products are the fastest around, and they
also support PPP over IrCOMM in addition to IrLAN.
