Hello!

I really have a problem connecting siemens s25 and my compaq armada
1750, first i used kernel 2.2.13 with no patches, and have compiled IrDA
as modules, but depmod returned somthing like this ircomm.o unresolved
symbols for all irda modules... so i downloaded kernel 2.2.14 and
irdapatch for it, and compiled irda in kernel,
now my conf.modules looks like this

#IrDA
alias char-major-161 ircomm-tty
alias tty-ldisc-11 irtty

and /etc/irda/drivers like this

action=$1
device=$2

case "${action:?}" in
'start')
        irattach /dev/ttyS2 # The third serial port is an IrDA
port
        # irattach /dev/ttyS0 -d esi # Attach a ESI dongle to the first
serial $        #irattach /dev/ttyS0 -d tekram
        # insmod pc87108             # If your machine as a pc87108 FIR
chipset

irmanager finds my cell phone, cat /proc/net/irda/discovery gives me
this
IrLMP: Discovery log:
nickname: SIEMENS S25, hint: 0x9024, saddr: 0x4286ce23, daddr:
0x04295741

but irdaping 0x4286ce23 and cat /proc/net/irda/ircomm gives me nothing
in return...

its better to compile irda as modules or shall i include it in kernel?
like in my case i have it built in kernel, how can i load ircomm? as
described in ir-howto from Werner Heuser, < [EMAIL PROTECTED] >

can somebody please help me

take care
