Hi guys'n'girls.
I succesfully connected two Linux laptops in SIR mode via ppp:
Dell Inspirion 7500
kernel 2.2.14, patch irda1
irda-utils 0.9.7
initiating command:
pppd /dev/ircomm0 115200 connect "/usr/sbin/chat '' ''"
IBM ThinkPad 770E
kernel 2.2.13, patch irda23 (or 25, cannot remember)
irda-utils 0.9.5
responding command:
pppd /dev/ircomm0 115200 -detach crtscts local \
passive noauth debug 10.17.1.1:10.17.1.2
The transfer rate is a little bit slow (6kbyte/sec) but this is just
the first try...
