Both Java and IrDA are a bit capricious to set up the first
time in Linux, but basically we spent the time to do it properly and
it work.

It's complete and working, but there is the need of
maintainance to keep track of the evolution of the IrDA stack, and
also we guess that as people start using it they will start to extend
the functionality.
But basically, it's up to you ;-)
