        Basically, it will contain the JNI code, which is some java
classes and a C library to compile. The java API is very similar to
TCP socket, you create a "IrSocket", giving to it the node name and
the service name (you may use auto-connect), and then you get a
standard stream to play with. On the server, you create of course a
"IrServerSocket". My friend Ramani has really done a great job there.
        You also get support for Ultra sockets, so that you can
implement IrWW if you want ;-)
        There will be two little sample programs and maybe a bit of
doc if we feel like.
        On top of that, I will provide a patch for Linux-IrDA-2.2.14-1
(to fix bugs, to get meaningful error codes and to add new features).

        To be ready, get JDK117v3 and Linux-IrDA 2.2.14-1 working on
your box ;-)

        For now, I don't know if we push for inclusion in the standard
JDK, if we put it on the Linux-IrDA ftp server or on our web pages.
