Correct!

All IrDA devices in future _must_ support OBEX in addition to other
protocols if they want to be "IrReady". This means that OBEX will get a
much more important role in future, and will be the technology that glues
together different devices. OBEX is also transport independant which means
that you can run it over whatever you want as long at the transport is
reliable. In my view, the OBEX spec is a very nice peace of work, and I'm
sure OBEX will be used in many different IrDA and non-IrDA setups in the
future.

The PyOBEX effort of the Open-OBEX project will try to available a WinCE
version of PyOBEX in a few months. Were about to start fixing Win32
support, and WinCE should be easy to fix after that. The only problem is
that the PyOBEX effort is currently not developed as an open source project
since we are doing some modifications to OBEX which we don't want to
release to the public yet. We were talking yesterday about making a new
snapshot available (but should not hold your breath while waiting)
