I am trying to get irda working with:
- TI TravellMate 5000 laptop
- Buit-in SIR port on COM2 (according to BIOS)
kernel: ttyS01 at 0x02f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A
- Redhat 6.1 + Linux-2.3.34 + patch-2.3.34-irda1
- irda-utils-0.9.9
The software side looks ok (kmsg, interrupts, devices, etc), but a
IR cell in front of the port doesn't see any light coming out.
cat > /dev/ttyS1 doesn't drive the leds either.
Everything works with MS IRDA 2.0 on Windows 95.
Any ideas ? Do I need another utility to activate the SIR port ?
