I'm trying to upgrade from Kernel 2.2.14 as it apears there's quite a memory
leak in that version's IrDA support (which can crash my laptop in about 20
mins of use with my cellphone).

I've got it compiled and all, but a couple of points:
I'm using: irattach /dev/ttyS0 -d girbil (irda-utils-0.9.10)

If I use -s 1 nothing works at all.

Without it I have to start irattach, wait 2 seconds, kill it and restart it
for it to work.

Am I using the wrong version of irda-utils, or is 2.2.15pre15 broken in this
respect?

Despite the memory leaks, when using 2.2.14 (+ irda-utils-0.9.4) irattach
didn't need any horrible hacks like that.
