Hi.

I'm trying to talk to a NOKIA 8210 mobile phone, which has a built in
GSM modem. Unfortunately, it is not even discovered by linux-irda. After
turning debugging to level 4 (and enabling interrupt tracing of the
serial driver) it seems that packets are sent out of my IBM Thinkpad
600E, but nothing is received [ there are no transmitter, but no
receiver interrupts ].

I'm using linux-2.2.10-irda3 / irdautils-0.9.10.

Does anybody have a hint? I'd really appreciate it.

Regards, Till.

PLEASE, send answers also directly to me - I'm not subscribed to the

PS. The device _is_ discovered by the WIN98 IRDA driver and I'm able to
talk to the mobile phone's modem. However, I don't believe that there's
anything magic going on - I never installed any nokia software [I never
use WIN98 - just gave it a try to make sure the hardware works].
