I'm having a couple of problems with the subject. My OmniBook is set up properly, and from what findchip reports, my friends Thinkpad 600 has the same NSC87338 chip with a couple of minor resource differences, (IRQ/DMA, etc.). Both machines are running 2.2.15. The first problem is what dongle to use? We looked at what seems to be all of the Thinkpad 600 Linux/Laptop sites but none seemed to list detailed IrDA setup info. Browsing the nsc-ircc source, we decided that the IBM one, (id 0x09), was the best to try but if anyone can clarify this... The other problem was the IrLan setup, both machines were assigned valid static IPs, but pinging results in 100% loss. ifconfig'ing shows the irlan0 interface receiving/transmitting no packets at all. Running route shows a valid route for the irlan0 interface on both machines but no joy. irdadump shows both machines announcing themselves to each other fine, and dmesg shows they both negotiate a FiR link. Thanks for any pointers Matt _______________________________________________ Linux-IrDA mailing list - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www4.pasta.cs.UiT.No/mailman/listinfo/linux-irda
