I'm trying to sync a palm pilot vx with my laptop but no joy.
Looks to me like the speeds are all wrong.
I cant seem to find any way of setting them. Any clues?

Im using linux 2.3.99_pre8
I performed teh
insmod irda nsc-ircc
irattach irda0 -s
irattach v1.1 on a sony vaio.
module nsc-ircc with the appropriate conf.modules entries:
alias tty-ldisc-11 irtty
alias char-major-161 ircomm-tty
alias irda0 nsc-ircc
options nsc-ircc dongle_id=0x09
[root@griffin /root]# cat /proc/net/irda/irias
