I found that Linux takes this address and assumes to have a
serial port (ttyS2). I tried to get this port running with irtty
and irport, but without success. The software works as normal, it
just doesn't get in contact with my IrDA devices (PalmPilot and
CellPhone).

Does this chipset behave like a 16550A at 115200? Did you get
it running with ir-tty (and how)?

regards
Hadmut
