Hello, is there any successfull story about an PC with IR-dongle and non-IR-printer at the parallel port accting as IR-printer? I use the well-known Tekram 210B-dongle at ttyS1 und a HP Laserjet 6L at lp0. Software consits of RedHat 6.2, Kernel 2.2.16 (no patch available ?) und irda-utils 0.9.10. I started the irmanager with -d 1 and -s 1 and then I use irattach /dev/ttyS1 -d tekram -s 1 to get the dongle working. Now I can transfer files with irxfer (IROrbex) and login via getty listening on /dev/ircomm0. The "ir-client" is a Toshiba-notebook. Ok, til here everything works fine. Now I use irattach /dev/irlpt0 -s 1 to act my PC as "ir-printer". An irdadump on the notebook says: Ok, there is Computer, Printer, Ircomm. But after an cat "file" > /dev/irlpt0 on the notebook nothing happens, except the "irattach /dev/irlpt0 ..." crashes as I can see using irdadump. Any suggestions, hints, ... Thanks Udo P.S.
