[Linux-IrDA]Speed problem with Nokia 7110

Hi,     I have just purchased a Nokia 7110 phone and are having problems with the speed at which it communicates over ppp. It works ok with windoze, so I believe the hardware to be ok. I have used up to now a Ericsson SH888 Mobil phone and have been getting a throughput of approx. 1k/s, but the Nokia only sees about 250bytes/s. It looks like a timing problem as the outgoing modem light flashes continuously as if its having to retransmit data because of errors.   My hardware is a Advent 8475 laptop Suse 6.4 kernel 2.2.14   Alan
