You may wish to check the archives from just a couple of weeks back. Someone
posted info about an IrDA sniffer product sold by JetEye. I mentioned that we
implemented the same sort of thing with two Jeteye dongles that were connected
to two plain ol' serial ports. We (that is, someone else and not me) wrote
software that listened to the serial ports and copied everything to log files.
The reason for two dongles is so that we could separate/monitor the two IrDA
devices independently.

The reason I mention Jeteye dongles is because we found that the Actisys
dongles require some (proprietary) configuration to work at a given baud
rate. The Jeteyes work at any baud rate as a passive RS232 to Infrared
Transceiver.
