Ah ha!
I have ircomm, and ircomm-tty but no irtty or irda. How can I get these
to "autoload" when they are needed... Seems odd that something would
segfault... shouldn't the modules be loaded if depmod did its job? I did
check my irport in bios and use the correct tty. Thanks for your help and
I hope this fixes my problem...
