I have installed a 3com/US robotics USR Sportster internal TA and succeded to configure it as an internet access router with call back. During the first few minutes, everything works fine: I can get the card dial out and connect properly to my ISP through pinging a server on the internet or get a call back instruction and connect if I ping my server from the internet. The trouble is that after a while, the card stops working properly and displays a set of Card 1 HSCX CRC error each time it attemts to establish a connection. Some extra details: - I use the Hisax driver (should be obvious, but one never knows) - I tested the card both with 2.0.36 kernel and 2.2.9ac6 - It is connected to the french ISDN network - My ISP is using a Ascend router I would be pleased with any detail about this message meaning, and maybe the way to get it work properly.
