This mail of mine is probably also relevant for this mailing list.

Are there any other open mailing lists for Linux ISDN developers? The
isdn4linux seems to be mostly for i4l _users_. In my opinion, there should
be an open list similar to linux-kernel where users could post bug reports
and developers could reach each other. Am I completely wrong or is this
mailing list supposed to have that role?

Subject: Winbond W669x support

I have a Telewell PCI card with Winbond W6692. Yesterday I wrote a dummy
driver for W6692 which just finds the available cards and initializes
them. The problem is that I know nothing about the low level ISDN stuff
and very little about ISDN in general. In fact, I'm waiting my ISDN line
to be installed later today :)

However, I would be interested in writing a driver for W6692 (and possibly
W6690, the ISA chipset, which I don't have at the moment). That is, if no
one is already working on that. The Winbond specification seems quite
decent to me but I am sure I'll be needing some help when it comes down to
low level ISDN stuff. The source code of existing drivers will be
valuable.

I have couple of questions some of which are for the i4l development crew:

  - I have the Documentation/isdn/INTERFACE dated Aug 10th. Is there any
other relevant documentation available that I should read before
considering writing a driver? Lots of ISDN documentation probably... I
know where to find the general kernel developer information.

  - Does the common ISDN HL-LL interface described in INTERFACE include
whatever is necessary for the upper level audio/fax drivers?

  - I have read the CAPI2.0 specification. Are there any plans to include
support for the standard /dev/capi20 device? Does the current HL-LL
API restrict the possible CAPI2.0 implementation build on top of it?
    How about the new CAPI3?

  - Does anyone know which ISDN cards use the W6690 (ISA) chipset? It
might be worth including the support, at least if there is going to be
    lot of common code.

Thank you!
