Hi there, I've been casually and impressedly following this list for a while, thinking how I should really help with testing soon. Thankfully for us all, I was recently prompted to action when my device no longer recieved DHCP commands (don't know why, but I've been using RMML for /far/ too long anyway).
So, I recompiled my kernel a few days ago (2.6.17.4), and have succeeded in mounting the karma over USB without problem (which was rather exciting). I figure I'll install libkarma once it officially turns 0.0.5, and then I suppose LKarmaFS. The howto was really helpful btw, thanks. One thing which would be nice; a link to the OMFS project page from there, as it's going to be necessary for most people (unless omfs is standard in distributions now - I'm using Slackware so I'm rather out of touch). Forgive me for being simple, but what use is LKarmaFS? From what I've heard it's infinitely easier to just upload with riocp, which if I'm not mistaken is in the libkarma package. Is lkarmafs more of use for getting tunes off the Karma? Or am I getting the wrong end of the proverbial stick? Thanks, and I'll let you know how I get on when I install libkarma and start fiddling. -Nick -- GPG Key : linux.nfshost.com/nick.gpg.asc IM : [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jabber + OTR)
