when you pull changes from upstream, please include the upstream
status and/or full sha1 id of the commit as well as the subject line.
it makes syncing git trees a lot easier.
in this case, the commit log should have included:
alsa: provide a more useful get_unmapped_area handler for pcm
posted to alsa-devel, but not merged yet
