It would be fine to make INFINIBAND_USER_MEM depend on !ARCH_NO_SG_CHAIN. alpha and parisc are not supported in rdma-core, and the non-multiplatform ARM sub-arches are probably also the kind that don't work with the userspace DMA model anyhow. Jason
