I'm scratching my head with the bracing created here, and it's because
the indentation is wrong:

        for () /* <-- no openning curly brace */
                if () {
                        x;
                        y;
        } /* <-- thus, wrong indentation */

Hm, checkpatch couldn't catch this, I'll report it to the maintainers.
