Please fix your script, and add the "-M" flag to the diff generation.
The above is incorrect.
The real statistics are
41 files changed, 1024 insertions(+), 1075 deletions(-)
rename include/linux/{ftrace_event.h => trace_events.h} (76%)
create mode 100644 include/trace/perf.h
rename include/trace/{ftrace.h => trace_events.h} (51%)
(and you get that filename change update too if you just add
"--summary" to the "git diff --stat" line too).
