A Slashdot news item drew attention to a passage in the terms of service
for the initial beta release, which read:
"By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a
perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license
to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly
display and distribute any content which you submit, post or display on or
through, the services."[1]
The passage in question was inherited from the general Google terms of
service.[2] The Register summarized the passage as "Your copyright goes up
in smoke."[3] Google responded to this criticism by stating that the
language used was borrowed from other products, and would be removed. They
also stated that the change would "apply retroactively to all users who
have downloaded Google Chrome."[4]
The passage in question has since been removed from the Terms of
Service.[5]

O sea, q ese EULA es tomado del estandar de otros productos de Google, pero
ya fue eliminado y se aplica
retrospectivamente a los usuarios q lo hayan bajando previamente...
