Hola, necesito saber los pasos que hay que dar para configurar compiz, ya
instale del repo los siguientes paquetes:
compiz (0.7.6-7)
compiz-core (0.7.6-7)
compiz-gnome (0.7.6-7)
compiz-gtk (0.7.6-7)
compiz-plugins (0.7.6-7)
libdecoration0 (0.7.6-7)
mesa-utils (7.0.3-7)
Revisando en /usr/share/doc/compiz/README.Debian hice lo siguiente:
In order for compiz to work you need to add the following to you server
configuration file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf):
If there is no section "Extensions" yet, you should add one that looks
like this:
Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "enable"
EndSection
+ Make XAA not hold any pixmaps in offscreen memory. This slows down compiz
in many configurations. You can disable this by adding the following line
to your "Device" section:
Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps" "true"
Now restart your X server and login to your favorite session. After the
session has loaded completely, open a terminal window and type the following
command:
$ compiz --replace &
esto me da error al reiniciar el servidor X, si alguien tiene una sugerencia,
uso debian lenny.
