Hi,
I am about to buy a low end portable and I consider the following
machines (in that order):
1/ HP 21000 (and its 56k PCMCIA modem)
2/ Sony Vaio PGC 747
3/ Toshiba 4010 CDS
Any experience, good or bad, to share with me?
In particular, I would like to know about
a) the graphic chips of these machines (AFAIK no problem for Sony and
Toshiba. Right? what about the HP) and
b) the modems (Com1 Platinium MC220 for the Sony, ??? for the HP, I
hope not a Win-thing). If I were to go for the Toshiba, any advice to
give me concerning the modem to buy? Is the MC220 (modem+ethernet) a
good choice?
