Who makes the SCSI adapter? Some of the panasonic laptop CDs use (what I
remember as) an unsupported PCMCIA SCSI host adapter. And ... if that's
the case, you're SOL. Do other PCMCIA devices work okay? (If not, I'd
start by getting something simple like a modem card working.) I'll check
the PCMCIA docs on my laptop (when I get back to it) and see if I see
anything about that adapter ... you may want to do the same if you have
said docs available, 'cause it may be quite a bit later today before I get
back to where my laptop is. :) Also, check your syslog after inserting the
PCMCIA card, that'll have -some- helpful information there. Good luck ...

PS You -did- look through David Hinds web documentation, right ... I
forget the URL offhand. You can get there from the linux-laptop support
pages, or from www.linux.org, I think. Anyway, really good stuff, and
quite helpful.
