Can anyone tell me why my V.90 modem won't establish a ppp connection?

 

well when i open up linuxconfig and configure the conection and then quit it says in the log error

 

and the error is something to do with apmd and i think something like amd

 

if someone can tell me if that is what my problem might be?

 

 

 

This is RedHat?  Linuxconf doesn't seem to work.  Try using netcfg.
