Dear all,

I have a Yamaha YMF715e sound card in my Pico Consul laptop machine.
The card is supposedly Soundblaster Pro 3.01 and MS Windows Sound System
compatible but I cant get the damn thing working correctly under linux.

Compiling the OSS sound system as modules sndconfig plays a very poor
quality sound sample after selecting Soundblaster modules. When sndconfig
attempts to finalise these settings a message

sb: Interrupt test on IRQ5 failed - Probablr IRQ conflict

is displayed. However /proc/interrupts does not show any device using IRQ
5 prior to running sndconfig. I'm sure that there is something I am not
doing here, any pointers ???

Many thanks,
Rob.
