Hi,

yes, I use an ELSA Microlink ISDN/MC (not the MC ALL!) on a toshiba
satellite 2520 cdt. Installation of this card is a bit difficult,
but after all - it works. Necessary steps are:
- installing general isdn kernel patches (ftp.suse.com)
- installing isdn utilities (ftp.suse.com)
- installing pcmcia-cs-3.0.9; this can be seen as a kernel patch;
(ftp://csb.stanford.edu/pub/pcmcia)
- you need a second patch for this pcmcia-package, i. e. a
special elsa-cs-patch that can be downloaded from the just mentioned contrib
directory of the pcmcia homepage.
- unfortunately - it is not over: You actually need an additional patch in order
to run the most recent elsa microlink isdn/mc; this third patch has been
posted via this mailing list (maybe it can be found via dejanews;
alternatively you can get it sent by me.) This third patch is a patch for
the general isdn kernel patch: elsa.c has to be replaced.
- note: each time you have changed something inside the kernel space you have
to recompile the kernel AND all of its patches...(yes, it gets rather chaotic)

Unfortunately that bloody separation of the different drivers is not going
to be overwhelmed in the nearest future, so you are forced to cope with
the resulting troubles at least for the next few months;
nevertheless, I still prefer linux...

Bye, bye,

Juergen.
