Hey all!

I've been running my Thinkpad 385CD with Linux for a few months now, and
love it! I've one question though, that is particularly bothering me as
I'm afraid for the life of my display!

If I hook up an external monitor, text mode works as expected - the
internal display is not enabled, and the external display works properly.
If i start up X, the external display cuts out, and the LCD quickly
develops large, angry looking white blotches, usually in a band across the
top, covering about 1/4 of the display. I keep a watch out for this, and
Fn-F7 quickly to switch the displays (if I hadn't already done that prior
to starting X).

I'm now running RH6.0, but this was manifesting itself from RH5.1, which
was the first version I started playing with on this box. The BIOS is the
late Oct version,

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening, and what I can do to stop it?

Cheers!
Jon
