Toshiba 8000, 3c589, redhat

I have a Toshiba 8000 and a 3com 3c589d ethernet card.  This is a supported card, but 
I cannot get redhat 6.0 to recognize it.  Redhat's GUI configuration does not even 
list a 3c589 module.  lsmod does show a 3c589_cs module loaded but I cannot see the 
network with the card.  Anyone have this running? Or have redhat 6.0 using a 3c589 and 
can share their settings? thanks.
