Hi all,
I'm having the following problem with my IBM Thinkpad 310E running Redhat 6.0
with kernel 2.2.10ac9 (same problem with 2.2.5-15, 2.2.9 and 2.2.10):

The values in /proc/apm are only updated when I boot to linux, when I plug the
laptop to AC power, when I unplug from AC power and when the BIOS tells that
the battery is almost empty.

This causes me the problem that I can't know how much battery I have left and
it can go suddenly from 100% to 15% which isn't nice.

I have Win95 installed also and Windows is somehow able to update the value
about every 2min.

Is there a patch somewhere that will fix this or is it possible to do
a forced update?
