Subject: Mini-Linux

Dear Klaus, I had not used Mini-Linux for some months, so
fired it up to see how much memory it actually used. In fact I am
using it right now to send this, using Minicom communication program.
I looked thru the various files to see if the minimum RAM was
mentioned but could not find it mentioned. It did mention that one
needs 20Mb of Hard Disk space for installation and approx 15 Mb after
it is installed. (The zip file one downloads is a bit over 5Mb.)
However, the bad news is that when I entered free to see what
memory is used it indicated ~2.8Mb! This reflected an 8Mb Swap File
that is used with low memory.
A bit later I will send you the Readme file that explains what
Mini-Linux can do and the ftp address you could use, just for your
information. But it looks like 2Mb is too little even for Mini.
        Sincerly, R.H.Armstrong South Colby, Washington
P.S the latest memory use is approx 2.2Mb.
