Hi,
I faced presumably the same problem on a toshiba satellite 2520 cdt; I was able to
avoid it by editing /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia as follows:
PCMCIA=yes
PCIC=i82365
PCIC_OPTS="irq_list=4,10,11"
CORE_OPTS=
This is actually a hint by the laptop homepage and it solved my problem; maybe
irq 9 causes the crash, but I don't know exactly.
By the way: Kernel 2.2.5-15 is really something that should be upgraded.
If you don't see any major problems with compiling a new kernel I would
recommend: Go and have a look at kernel.org, the most recent and working kernel
is 2.2.11, I installed it on my notebook, and it is quite ok.
Good luck, Juergen.
