Nope.  There are some projects working on it, and you might be in some
luck if you have a hardware decoder...  But I belive some of the
compression algs behind DVD mpeg are patented, making a free software mpeg
decoder for DVDs legally sticky.  I just got a laptop with a DVD drive
too, and I'm not too happy either... :-(
