I'm running an IBM 560Z with the DMF560TX. The only distribution I have
been able to get to work with it is SuSE 6.1 (haven't upgraded to 6.2
yet, but I assume it works as well).
I still can't get both sides of the card (network & modem, for those who
don't have one) to work at the same time, but I'm told that that's a
kernel problem having to do with IRQ sharing that has been fixed in the
latest stable version (2.2.12 I believe). One of these days I'll get
around to upgrading and trying it out.
The Adaptec I have no knowledge of. However, I am told by knowledgeable
friends (who happen to be German and, therefore, biased <g>) that SuSE
is generally ahead on PCCard stuff and is the best laptop distro going
if you have remotely non-standard cards.
If you need more specific information from me re: versions, config
files, etc., I'm happy to provide it -- send private email.
Good luck,
