Ok, this is a "newbie question" I think, but I want to ask it
anyway. :-P

I have an IBM Thinkpad 365XD. I installed Linux on it, (a local
modified version of RedHat 6.0, basically with "security stuff"
added :-).

I tried to get run Xfree on it, but I only get it run with 640x480
with 8bpp. I want to get 800x600 at leat. ;-) I have Xfree 3.3.4
I'm using the "Trindent 8900/9000" video driver, and "LCD 800x600"
monitor driver.

I readed some info about this and it says that I need to install
xfree 3.2 to get more resolution in the laptop. But this info is
a bit "old". I want to know if this still being true, if it's a
workaround to get more resolution, and if someone have experiences
with this.

I want to see the lastest GNOME version working on it, like my
desk PC... ;-)

Thak you for any clues.

Best regards. :-)
