They have fairly generic P II machines w/ 14.1" displays (no P III yet), up to
400 MHz, RAM up to 288 MB, max $3220. They install only Red Hat I
believe. We have several of their tower units & one laptop, and like them
all.

Someone mentioned VA Research, when I checked a couple months ago they
said they no longer sold laptops however. One (obvious) place to try
would be linuxlaptops.com :) It's a small operation, basically they're
just reselling computers with hardware configurations that are well
supported by linux (the $4000 model they sell is a high-end IBM ThinkPad,
for example), have a support contract with LinuxCare and they preinstall
Debian by default :) Probably a good place to look.
