When I used to service laptops I would frequently run across broken plastic
parts and cracked stuff. One thing that worked pretty well in fixing this stuff
was "Ducane Plastic Welder". It is basically an Epoxy that works pretty well
with plastic parts. It is available at Kmart and hardware stores everywhere
for $2-$6 for a dual plunger style dispenser. 1 dispenser lasted me quite a
while and it has many more uses than just plastic repair. I'm sure there are
equivalent products available that would do the same job. I just havn't found
any other strong glue that says it works well with plastic parts. Just a quick
warning: the fumes are pretty powerful so take care where you use this stuff.
Hope this is helpful.
