I am running SuSE 6.2 and am trying to get sound installed on the
system..its proving to be difficult.
I have been playing around with the oss package.
After loading the appropriate modules required and making sure that the
'soundon' command has been executed I receive the message that
/dev/audio and /dev/dsp are not configured
root@rocky:/home/abi > cat /usr/share/sounds/wav/applause.wav > /dev/dsp
bash: /dev/dsp: Device not configured
Is there an easier way than trying oss?
Let me know what files I can send out to aolve this issue.
