Do your monitor & the screen both use whatever horizontal &
vertical frequency the X server runs on?

:-((. Join the club. I have a BJC4000. I read the printer driver to use was the
BJC 600. I got that up on my laptop - s o r t o f, after much hassle. I still
have it printing fitfully there, but I cannot replicate that on another machine
(which ACTUALLY has the printer). Find where it hides the printer queue, check
it, and flush it. I presume you have apsfilter set up and running from bootup.

I get this sort of thing. I had two datasheets to print. Number 1 goes through
(on my laptop) with no trouble. Number 2 never arrives. Two weeks later, I try
to print a file, to get the datasheet I wanted previously instead of my file.
If it doesn't like the look of one document in the queue, or if you screw
something up, nothing comes out ever until you flush the queue. I tell it to
give me potrait and plain text, but I get two (landscape) columns of a minute
font that would fit the BIBLE on a postage stamp! Then I get 5 pages of carriage
returns and one character per line - it is printing all the following carriage
returns. How many, or why, I don't know. That's what I called 'working' (pause
for laughter). On the desktop, I just fill the waste paper basket, or get
nothing and end up contemplating suicide.

I'm told the epsom driver behaves better, or the postscript stuff really works.
