Yes, I did! :-)

The backing up of my previous 10 GB disc and installing on the actual 2
GB disc was a difficult task in its own (the socket program did wonders
to me!). So I rebooted many time with boot discs and boot cdroms to try
various things.

Be assured: There wasn't any CD in the CD-ROM drive! :-)

I think I'll have to mail the LILO developers.
